Community Guidelines

Last updated: May 24, 2025

1. What ResiLore Is

ResiLore is a platform for tenants, residents, and HOA members to share authentic experiences about their buildings and communities. Our goal is to create an honest, searchable record of building conditions that helps prospective residents make informed housing decisions and holds property management accountable.

We believe in free expression within the bounds of truthfulness and respect. These guidelines exist to keep the platform credible and safe for everyone.

2. What You Can Post

You are encouraged to post:

  • Honest complaints about maintenance, safety, noise, management responsiveness, and other building conditions you have personally experienced or witnessed
  • Reviews of your overall living experience, including ratings for management, amenities, and value
  • Community posts about lost items, building news, recommendations, and general neighborhood information
  • Notices to management regarding unresolved issues
  • Responses to management replies on your complaints

3. What Is Not Allowed

The following content violates our guidelines and will be removed:

  • False complaints — fabricated, exaggerated, or knowingly inaccurate complaints about a building or its management
  • Harassment — targeting specific individuals with repeated, hostile, or threatening content
  • Spam — repetitive, promotional, or irrelevant content posted to multiple buildings
  • Impersonation — claiming to be a resident, manager, or staff member you are not
  • Doxxing — posting private information about individuals such as home addresses, phone numbers, or financial details
  • Competitive attacks — complaints filed by competitors or paid actors rather than actual residents
  • Illegal content — content that violates any applicable law

4. Verification and Identity

While anyone may submit complaints anonymously, ResiLore offers a Verified Resident badge to users who confirm their residency through documentation. Verified users carry more credibility in our scoring system. Attempting to obtain verification through false documentation is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in permanent account termination.

5. How We Handle Violations

When content is reported or flagged, our team reviews it against these guidelines. We may: leave the content as-is if it does not violate guidelines; request additional context from the poster; add a management response notice; remove the content; or suspend or terminate the account responsible. We make all removal decisions at our sole discretion, balanced against our commitments to free expression and user privacy.

6. How to Report Content

To report content that violates these guidelines, contact us at trust@resilore.com with a link to the specific content and a description of the violation. Property managers may also use the Dispute process in their management dashboard for formal content challenges.

7. Consequences for Violations

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, consequences may include: a warning; content removal; temporary account suspension; or permanent account termination with prohibition from creating new accounts. Severe violations — including threats, doxxing, or attempts to defraud the platform — will result in immediate permanent termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
